Biography:

William John Sullivan, a Tennessee native, has always had a deep appreciation and understanding for natural beauty. Hoping to combine the love for the outdoors and photography, he aspired to become a nature photographer. After years of adventure exploring many of our country's National Parks, he decided to pursue a degree in professional photography. Will's decision to attend Colorado Mountain College was beneficial towards the future of his photography. Surrounded by the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, Will was able to focus on a broad spectrum of the photographic medium- including advanced lighting techniques, custom color/black and white printing, 4x5 studio operations, and digital imaging.

He then moved to Fort Collins, CO, and stayed for over 5 years working as a Digital Imaging Specialist for Fine Print. There he was able to help build a digital department from within the company, and work on amazing imagery from all over the world from some of the best artists and photographers in the nation. While he was there, he worked with Mountain Hawk Productions to re-master over 125 of Edward Curtis's best photographs of the Native American Indians from the turn of the century. After he left Fine Print, he then decided to be closer to home and moved to Nashville, TN.

Will now runs a home based studio and continues to photograph the world around him using his Canon EOS system. He enjoys a broad subject matter, and explores his scenes and personalities with care and curiosity. Will hopes to expand his talents to a larger audience through editorial, fashion, and illustration photography. Other interests include scuba diving, mountain biking, canoeing, building sculpture, and writing poetry.
